- To sign up for a challenge, you must be a PROTRADE member.
- Challenges with entry fees must be paid by credit card prior to the start date.
- Challenge participants are given a portfolio of PT$25,000 after they join.
- Each Challenge may have different rules for eligible positions and/or leagues.
- You cannot trade after the challenge end date.
- A challenge is judged immediately following the completion of the challenge.
- Traders are ranked by percentage growth of their holdings as of the challenge end date and time. Price fluctuations after a challenge end date and time do not affect portfolios even as the final rankings are being tabulated.
- Prize distribution is awarded based on the specified rules of the challenge. In the event ties exist at the end of a cash prize challenge based on appreciation return percentage (%), the tie will be resolved as follows:
- Cash amounts will be split between the impacted traders for the positions they tied. For example if 2 traders tie for 1st place and there are prizes for 1st and 2nd, the tied traders will split the prizes for 1st and 2nd evenly. Final rankings would be 1st Tie, 1st Tie.
- In the event ties exist at the end of a merchandise prize challenge based on appreciation return percentage (%), the tie will be resolved as follows:
- Most total PROTRADE Dollars in portfolio
- Trader that first entered the challenge
- Trader that first registered for PROTRADE account
- All decisions of PROTRADE regarding the foregoing are binding and final.
- No transfers, alterations, substitutions or cash redemptions of the prizes will be permitted, except as provided herein.
- PROTRADE reserves the right to substitute prizes of like value in the event described prizes are unavailable for any reason.
- All federal, state or other tax liabilities will be the sole responsibility of the prizewinners.
- Cash prizes (in USD) won in a challenge are deposited directly into the winner's PROTRADE account once the results have been verified.
- All Prize Winners will be notified by email at the email address supplied to PROTRADE.
- Winners must claim merchandise prizes within 60 days of notification.
- PROTRADE is not responsible for and shall not be liable for a prize that is declined or undeliverable, or for any prize or prize notification that is returned as undeliverable.
- Prize Winners consent to the use by PROTRADE and their respective designees of their names and likenesses for advertising, publicity and promotional purposes in any media now known or hereinafter developed, without territorial or time limitations, including for use on the PROTRADE web site (http://www.protrade.com) without any additional compensation (except where prohibited by law).
- To obtain a winners list for any challenge, please specify the challenge, the challenge start date and mail your request within 6 months after the challenge end date, together with a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: PROTRADE Winners List, 525 Brannan Street, Ste. 100, San Francisco, CA 94107-1632.
