On Earnings Day, prices are tied to a player or team's performance during the season (aka earnings). Based on the following scoring system, earnings are calculated using traditional fantasy stats that can be tabulated from an average box score.

NFL SCORING

Team Scoring

$10 for each regular season win
$5 for each regular season tie (rare)
$10 for qualifying for the playoffs
$10 for winning the division
$20 for receiving a first round bye
$20 for winning a Wild Card game
$25 for winning a divisional playoff
$30 for winning a conference championship
$50 for winning the Super Bowl

Athlete Scoring

Tally the stats and you'll get the player's earnings for the play, quarter, game and season.

NBA SCORING

Team Scoring

$2 for each regular season win
$10 for qualifying for the playoffs
$3 for each playoff win
$10 for winning the first playoff round
$15 for winning the second playoff round
$20 for winning the third playoff round
$35 for winning the championship

For example, if the Lakers win 43 regular season games, make the playoffs, win 10 playoff games, including 2 wins in the third round, their total earnings will be $151.00.

Athlete Scoring

NBA players will accumulate earnings in 10 statistical categories: points, rebounds, assists, blocks, steals, three pointers, made field goals, missed field goals, made free throws, and missed free throws. Tally the stats and you get the player's earnings for the play, quarter, game and season.

MLB SCORING

Team Scoring

For example, if the A's win 81 regular season games, make the playoffs, win 9 playoff games, including 2 wins in the World Series, their total earnings will be $157.00.

Athlete Scoring

MLB players will accumulate earnings in 12 statistical categories: hits, batter outs, runs, RBIs, home runs, stolen bases, wins, pitcher strikeouts, saves, earned runs, hits & walks, and pitcher outs. Simply look at the box score for a player or his total stats on the season. Tally the stats and you get the player's earnings for the play, quarter, game and season.

NCAAB SCORING

$3 for each Div I regular season win
$5 for each conference tournament win
$5 for each NIT Tournament win

$10 for qualifying for the NCAA Tournament
$10 for making the Final Four
$10 for making it to the Championship game
$10 for winning the Championship

For example, if UCLA wins 28 regular season games, 4 conference tournament games, qualifies for the NCAA tournament and wins 2 games in the tournament, their total earnings will be $154.00.


Golf SCORING

PROTRADE's Golf scoring system is based on the season-long points competition known as the FedExCup. Fantasy earnings reflect the number of FedExCup points earned by the golfer during the 2008 season. To calculate Golf fantasy earnings from FedExCup points, the following formula is used:

((Final FedExCup Points) - 63,000) = PROTRADE Fantasy Earnings

For example, if Tiger Woods finishes the 2008 Golf season with 115,000 FedExCup points, he will earn $231.11 in fantasy earnings.

The 2008 Golf Earnings Day is scheduled for Sep. 29th, after completion of the Tour Championship.


NASCAR SCORING

PROTRADE's NASCAR scoring system is based on the points competition known as the Sprint Cup. Fantasy earnings reflect the number of Sprint Cup points earned by the driver during the 2008 season. The following formula is used to calculate NASCAR earnings from Sprint Cup points:

For example, if Tony Stewart finishes the 2008 NASCAR season with 6,500 Sprint Cup points, he will have earned $260 in fantasy earnings.

In addition to the points awarded for order of finish, five bonus points (PT$0.20) are awarded to each driver who leads a lap, as well as five more bonus points to the driver who leads the most laps in the race.
At the conclusion of the 26-week regular season, the top 12 drivers qualify for the Chase for the Cup. The Sprint Cup point totals of those drivers are raised to 5,000 plus 10 points for each victory during the regular season. For the drivers who do not qualify for the Chase, they are still able to race in the 10 playoff races, but their point totals are not bumped up to 5,000 after the 26th race.


NCAAF SCORING

$15 for each regular season win
$5 bonus for win over AP Top 25 (at time of game)
$5 additional bonus for win over AP Top 10 (at time of game)
$20 for Bowl win
$15 for making BCS Bowl
$15 for making BCS Championship
$30 for winning BCS Championship

For example, if the Michigan Wolverines win 11 regular season games (+165) with three Top 25 wins (+15), including one Top 10 win (+5), qualify for a BCS Bowl (+15) but lose their Bowl game, their total earnings would be equal to PT$200.

For example, if the Michigan Wolverines win 11 regular season games (+165) with three Top 25 wins (+15), including one Top 10 win (+5), qualify for a BCS Bowl (+15), qualify for the BCS championship (+15), win their Bowl Game (+20), and win the BCS Championship game (+30), their total earnings would be equal to PT$265.

Additional notes:
If a team beats a top 10 team in a bowl game, they still earn the $5 top 25 win and $5 top 10 win bonuses on top of the bowl win earnings.

The losing team in the BCS championship game earns both $15 for making a BCS bowl and $15 for making the BCS championship.

The winning team in the BCS championship earns $20 for a Bowl win, $15 for making a BCS bowl, $15 for making the BCS championship, and $30 for winning the BCS championship.

Wins against non-Div 1A teams count as regular season wins.

The 2008 NCAAF Earnings Day is scheduled for Jan. 8th, after the Allstate BCS Championship Game.
